IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#biogennix<\/a>–Irvine-based Biogennix<\/a>, a market leader in advanced bone regeneration technology, announced today that its DirectCell Advanced Bone Grafting System<\/a> has already been used in over 500 cases.\n<\/p>\n

\nBiogennix\u2019s team of bone regeneration experts specifically designed this system to provide surgeons and hospitals with a comprehensive bone graft solution in a single product. The DirectCell System includes a bone graft product with advanced bone regeneration properties along with novel instrumentation engineered to harvest high concentrations of patient stem cells.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe cell-stimulating graft within the system is the advanced synthetic bone graft, Agilon<\/a>, which is available in a Moldable and Strip form. Agilon products are based on Biogennix\u2019s unique TrelCor technology<\/a> that contains a nanocrystalline hydroxycarbanoapatite graft surface<\/a> which actively participates in bone regeneration. The DirectCell System also provides surgeons two methods of collecting bone marrow derived stem cells, either through the harvesting of stem cell aspirate (SCA) with significantly higher stem cell counts [compared to standard bone marrow aspirate (BMA)], or marrow-rich autograft dowels.\n<\/p>\n

\nTogether, the technologies within the DirectCell System allow surgeons to leverage both advanced material properties and the power of a patient\u2019s own stem cells.\n<\/p>\n
