IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The mayors of Orange County cities and members of the Orange County Board of Supervisors are congratulating City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, for opening City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center this summer.\n<\/p>\n

\nIn individual welcome video messages, nearly three dozen civic leaders praised the transformational impact the comprehensive cancer center in Irvine will have on the Orange County community. \nThe most advanced cancer center in Orange County, City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center is four football fields\u2019 worth of advanced cancer research and treatment. Patients will have access to City of Hope\u2019s more than 400 physicians and 1,000 researchers and scientists who only focus on cancer, nearly 1,000 clinical trials and a wide range of programs and services in one location.\n<\/p>\n

\nCity of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center will also offer precision prevention and early detection, nationally recognized supportive care services, and capabilities previously unavailable within the region, including a pioneering integrative medicine program that brings together Western medicine and evidence-based complementary therapies, such as mind-body techniques and acupuncture.\n<\/p>\n

\nPaulo Morales, mayor of the City of Cypress, also recognizes the importance of having this advanced cancer care close to home.\n<\/p>\n

\nPatients can currently access City of Hope\u2019s care at four Orange County regional sites \u2014 in Huntington Beach, Irvine Sand Canyon, Newport Beach Fashion Island and Newport Beach Lido \u2014 that form a network of advanced cancer research and treatment.\n<\/p>\n

\nA grand opening celebration for the cancer center is planned for this summer, along with a groundbreaking ceremony for Orange County\u2019s only specialty hospital exclusively focused on treating and curing cancer. The hospital, which will be seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, will open in 2025.\n<\/p>\n
