DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#drugshortages<\/a>—RISCS, Inc.<\/a> announced today it has joined a new coalition of diverse stakeholders to address drug shortages in the United States. The End Drug Shortages Alliance (EDSA) provides a forum for key stakeholders to take strategic aim at one of health care\u2019s more pressing and enduring issues, drug shortages that disrupt patient care.\n<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\u201cWe are excited to announce our membership in the End Drug Shortages Alliance and my appointment to the EDSA Board of Directors<\/a>,\u201d said Stephen Colvill, Executive Director of RISCS. \u201cOur recently announced pharmaceutical supply chain evaluation programs at RISCS, including a pilot with Vizient<\/a>, demonstrate that common ground can be found in the industry. We look forward to continuing this momentum with EDSA.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nThe End Drug Shortages Alliance was launched in late 2021 to bring together industry stakeholders, including providers, group purchasing organizations, manufacturers, distributors and other industry thought leaders and champions. Efforts will focus on improving access to medications through greater transparency across market participants, leading to improved quality manufacturing of medications and production of additional supply.\n<\/p>\n
