Dr. Leavitt is a board-certified dermatologist, and hair restoration \/ loss specialist recognized internationally as a leading physician, surgeon, educator, clinical researcher, lecturer, author, and philanthropist.\n<\/p>\n

\nHe is responsible for building the Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery which currently has a premier practice with more than 160 offices nationwide. Its research division has undertaken studies for major pharmaceutical companies, ranging from skin cancer and melanoma to several related to hair loss and products. Dr. Leavitt is the former Program Director and current Chairman of the Orlando Dermatology Residency Program which he founded in 2015. Dr. Leavitt is also the Founder and Executive Medical Advisor of Medical Hair Restoration (MHR) which merged with Bosley to become the largest surgical hair restoration practice in the U.S.\n<\/p>\n

\nDr. Leavitt has served as President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD) and is a founding father of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, where he served as its first Vice President. \nDr. Leavitt is the Founder and Chairman of the KCU-GME\/ADCS Orlando Dermatology Residency Program and established a dermatology fellowship program for physician assistants and nurse practitioners. He serves as a clinical assistant professor in dermatology for the University of Central Florida and for Kansas City University. He has received numerous grants and awards, including the prestigious Golden Follicle, from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
