MEMPHIS, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Colorful, creative images of Earth and messages of hope from around the world will make up the globally focused patient art featured during the week of the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship<\/a>. St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital<\/a>\u00ae<\/sup> has been the sole charitable beneficiary of the tournament since 1970, and artwork from its young patients will adorn custom FootJoy\u00ae<\/sup> shoes and TaylorMade\u00ae<\/sup> putter covers<\/a> at the upcoming championship. These partnerships help bring global awareness to the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children.\u00ae<\/sup>\n<\/p>\n

\nArt therapy<\/a> is a part of the holistic treatment offered at St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital. Hallways and common areas on the St. Jude campus display bright, heartwarming art created by patients. Many PGA TOUR pros have walked these hallways, met with patients and continue to support St. Jude.\n<\/p>\n

\nMore than 30 FootJoy athletes <\/b>will wear custom shoes<\/a> with global artwork, some of which will be up for bid on the Birdies for St. Jude<\/b> online auction. This annual auction gives St. Jude supporters the opportunity to own one-of-a-kind items signed by their favorite professional golfers. During the 2021 tournament, more than 30 FootJoy-sponsored players wore custom shoes with artwork designed by St. Jude patient Bailey<\/a> and in 2020, the artwork of choice was images of pizza created by St. Jude patient Nate<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\nPatient art will be featured prominently throughout the event on signage, apparel and d\u00e9cor. Fans, players, partners and other participants will see patient art on banners hung throughout TPC Southwind, on display during the 10th anniversary of the FedEx Purple Eagle Program and during the St. Jude JAM<\/a> presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee and HH Global on Wednesday, Aug. 10, among other locations.\n<\/p>\n

\nBecause of fundraising events like the St. Jude JAM and FedEx St. Jude Championship, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food so they can focus on helping their child live.\n<\/p>\n
