HCA Healthcare\u2019s Galen College of Nursing, a leading educator of nurses in the United States, has a campus in Perry County, one of the counties hit by the flooding. Many of the college\u2019s nursing students, faculty and staff live in and around the impacted areas.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cOur thoughts are with those affected by the devastating floods in Kentucky, including our Galen nursing students and colleagues,\u201d said Sam Hazen, chief executive officer of HCA Healthcare. \u201cAs search and rescue efforts continue, we are proud to help these communities recover and rebuild.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\nGalen faculty and more than 40 nursing students have deployed to assist at Appalachian Regional Healthcare and other points of care.
