NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#VC<\/a>—Kaleidoscope<\/a>, pioneering an operating system to accelerate research team performance, today announced the completion of a $6M seed financing round, co-led by Hummingbird Ventures and Dimension, with participation from Caffeinated Capital, SV Angel, Hawktail, and individual investors. The funding will be used to invest in product development and team expansion, with a focus on software engineers.\n<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\nScientific organizations are increasingly employing cross-disciplinary teams, from clinicians to engineers to bench scientists. However, there is a startling lack of structure and clarity to this collaboration today, making it extremely difficult to properly track scientific decision-making. Further, not only has the volume of data generated increased exponentially over the years, but data is changing hands more often. Many organizations are outsourcing various components of their projects, meaning that data is frequently shared between individuals, across teams, and with external partners, with no unified way to understand who did what.\n<\/p>\n

\nKaleidoscope is a cloud-based research platform that serves as a \u201cscientific hub\u201d, mapping the location of data, who has interacted with it, and why.
