\nScout by Sutter Health\u2122 combines technology and human support through GetWell Loop to deliver personalized mental health resources to youths and caregivers<\/i>\n<\/p>\n

BETHESDA, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Get Well<\/a>, a global leader in patient engagement, announced today that Sutter Health<\/a> is adopting its digital care platform, GetWell Loop<\/a>, for Scout by Sutter Health\u2122<\/a>, a virtual resource that helps teens and young adults build resilience and manage everyday mental health. Scout supports youth ages 12 to 26 years and their caregivers.\n<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\nScout by Sutter Health\u2122 is a non-clinical, virtual experience that combines human and digital components to help youth by delivering personalized, evidence-based educational content in a web-friendly format via text or email. Each week, young people and their caregivers have the opportunity to check in, receive valuable materials to help them understand their mental health, and build a toolkit of skills. Scout’s goal is to empower young people to manage their own everyday mental health while also creating a safety net by connecting those who need further care with resources to support them. Scout by Sutter Health\u2122 on Get Well Loop is also available in Spanish.\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAddressing mental health matters in advance \u2014 especially for youth \u2014 can have a lasting impact on one\u2019s total health over the course of their lifetime,\u201d said Dr. Tam Nguyen, Director of Ambulatory Care for the Mental Health and Addiction Care team at Sutter Health. \u201cTools like Scout by Sutter Health\u2122 help establish \u2018safe places\u2019 early on for youth and families to work through their mental wellness needs.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nA CDC analysis<\/a> from earlier this year shed light on youth mental health concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, finding that more than one-third of high school students reported they experienced poor mental health during the pandemic, and 44% reported they persistently felt sad or hopeless during the past year. Scout by Sutter Health\u2122 gives young people a convenient tool for support, providing educational content in a relatable and engaging format.\n<\/p>\n

\nScout by Sutter Health\u2122 first went live as a pilot on Get Well\u2019s Docent (now Get Well Navigate) platform<\/a> in May 2020. The transition to GetWell Loop offers <\/b>a seamless user experience through which users can access resources, provide feedback on content, watch educational videos, and reach out to guides using a single tool.\n<\/p>\n
