WESTBOROUGH, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–eClinicalWorks\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>, the largest ambulatory cloud EHR, today announced that Healing Hands Ministries (HHM)<\/a> is leveraging PRISMA<\/a>, the industry\u2019s first health information search tool. A Texas community health center, HHM originally selected eClinicalWorks and healow to help the practice provide comprehensive care, improve efficiency, and shorten patient wait times. HHM is using PRISMA to collate medical information from specialties, urgent care facilities, hospitals, and primary care providers, to enable faster and more accurate decision-making and care for its diverse patient population at the point of care.\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWith more than 17,000 patients, we needed a solution that would not only cover all of our patients\u2019 needs, but keep all of our practice locations organized,\u201d said Jason Wallace, COO of HHM. \u201cSince implementing PRISMA and all of eClinicalWorks\u2019 solutions, our providers spend less time searching patient records and piecing together medical histories, and more time with patients. We\u2019re now able to gather patient records from hospitals nationwide including Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Medical City Dallas Hospital, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, and Children\u2019s Health, all of which operate on either Epic\u00ae<\/sup> or Allscripts\u00ae<\/sup>. Using eClinicalWorks has helped us to serve our patient population better.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nWith more than 57,200 patient visits as of December 2022, HHM uses PRISMA to give providers intelligent, efficient, and user-friendly search capabilities within the patient record for value-based care and continuity of care. Since one of the HHM clinics is in a refugee resettlement location, HHM serves patients that speak approximately 68 different languages. With PRISMA, providers were able to overcome a language barrier with a patient by retrieving their hospital records and providing immediate and life-saving care. By collating information into a readable, searchable table or grid view, providers can coordinate care quickly and make better data-driven clinical decisions. From the dental module and behavioral health module, HHM is identifying gaps in care and filling them in with eClinicalWorks\u2019 broad suite of solutions.\n<\/p>\n
