NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–RubiconMD was recently selected as a grant recipient by Molina Healthcare to help expand access to virtual specialty care in the state of Nevada. Expanding support for primary care teams with access to specialty care is at the core of the partnership’s mission.\n<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\nAs part of this partnership, Molina Healthcare of Nevada will provide RubiconMD eConsults as a state-wide solution to provider groups. This initiative will give Molina-contracted provider groups free access to the RubiconMD Specialist Network, the largest and most extensive specialty panel of virtual specialists, which includes 140 specialties and subspecialties.\n<\/p>\n

\nRubiconMD eConsults help primary care teams make patient care more convenient, efficient, and lower-cost for patients. Through eConsult technology, clinicians can connect with board-certified, virtual specialists and ask questions about a patient\u2019s condition, develop interim care plans, review medications, and get assistance interpreting diagnostic results. When clinicians obtain specialist insights within a few hours, they can develop care plans that could otherwise take weeks, based on average patient wait times for a specialist. Through this partnership, Molina providers will be able to deliver more comprehensive care, improve referral quality, and reduce the need for unnecessary services for their patients.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe partnership will also help address the burden of access challenges that many patients face today due to transportation, time off work, financial constraints, or long referral wait times. With rapid access to the leading virtual specialist network available, Molina Nevada providers will now garner critical insights to rapidly and more effectively inform patients\u2019 care plans, without the need for external specialty visits.\n<\/p>\n

\nIn addition to providing eConsults to Molina Nevada providers, this partnership will deepen clinician learning through educational initiatives like CME-credit webinars and customized training sessions to further educate providers on best practices with specialty care eConsults.\n<\/p>\n
