\nNew data from Georgia employees and executives offers clarity on what will help.<\/i><\/p>\n

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Community<\/a>–Georgia employed adults and executives report shocking levels of burnout impacting not only their own mental health, but also productivity, workplace culture, and company retention efforts, according to a new report<\/a> by goBeyondProfit and Georgia CEO.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\nThe report found that a striking 70% of employed adults in Georgia feel some level of burnout in their job, with one-in-five indicating that burnout is directly affecting their work performance. This phenomenon is not isolated to Georgia\u2019s workforce as 2-out-of-3 Georgia-based executives also admit to experiencing some level of burnout.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cRegardless of a company\u2019s industry, location, or size, burnout is taking a toll in Georgia,\u201d says Megan McCamey, President of goBeyondProfit. \u201cAs employers grapple with labor shortages and fears of a recession, new data finds that generosity-based solutions offer tangible business benefits in the fight against burnout.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThis new data points to pervasive burnout across all levels of management within a company. 78% of Gen Z, 67% of millennials, 75% of Gen X \u2013 those most likely to make up the bulk of senior leadership roles and the hardest to replace \u2013 and 65% of Boomers all report experiencing some level of burnout.<\/p>\n

\nWhat\u2019s worse, one-in-three employees say their job has caused mental health challenges in the last 12 months. That number jumps to 51% for employees ages 18-24.<\/p>\n

\nBurnout connects directly to decreased productivity, retention, and erosion of company values and purpose according to new research by goBeyondProfit.<\/p>\n

\nThankfully, this year\u2019s report offers low-cost solutions to burnout including greater flexibility \u2013 as defined as the ability to balance work and life demands as they arise without having to take PTO \u2013 more empathy from managers, fewer meetings, and increased benefits such as childcare or elder care support.<\/p>\n
