\nAnnual Thanksgiving event brings together staff, volunteers, and community partners to provide customized food baskets to patients and families<\/i>\n<\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Family<\/a>–Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC<\/a>) hosted its 25th Annual Holiday Food Basket Giveaway, bringing together hundreds of staff members, volunteers, and community partners to support local families in celebration of Thanksgiving.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe event has grown from a small effort to give back into one of the organization’s most meaningful traditions. For more than two decades, the program has ensured that patients and families in the community can enjoy the Thanksgiving they deserve. <\/b>“What began as a simple act of kindness has evolved into a heartfelt community tradition that continues to make a lasting impact,” said Assistant Vice President Michelle Trinh. “Our Holiday Food Basket Giveaway is more than an event\u2014it’s a celebration of unity, resilience, and the enduring spirit of giving.”\n<\/p>\n

\nFive years ago, LuskinOIC transformed the program to create a more personalized experience. Through family surveys, the team began tailoring each basket to meet the specific needs and wishes of the families served. From pantry staples to festive favorites, each basket is assembled with care and gratitude, reflecting the compassion and generosity that define the LuskinOIC community.\n<\/p>\n

\nNo matter what challenges the community faces, LuskinOIC families, staff, and volunteers come together year after year to ensure that everyone can share in the joy and togetherness that the holiday season represents.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe event took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at LuskinOIC\u2019s Downtown Los Angeles campus. The 114-year-old nonprofit distributed more than 100 baskets. This year\u2019s Holiday Food Basket Giveaway was made possible by the generosity of Las Madrecitas & Las Ni\u00f1as de Las Madrecitas, Las Amigas & Los Amigos, La Ca\u00f1ada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild, and the Charitable Children\u2019s Guild, among others\n<\/p>\n
