Joi + Blokes Acquires HerMD, Creating One of the Nation’s Largest Virtual Care Platforms for Women

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Joi + Blokes, a national virtual clinic supporting women’s health across menopause, longevity, and optimal healthspan, today announced its acquisition of HerMD, a nationally recognized organization advancing evidence-based care in menopause, sexual health, and hormonal wellness.

The acquisition unites two category-defining platforms to form one of the nation’s most comprehensive virtual specialty care and education ecosystems for women—signaling one of the year’s most significant milestones in women’s health and accelerating the move toward integrated, accessible virtual care ahead of 2026.

The Next Generation of Evidence-Based Care

Through this acquisition, HerMD patients will now have access to an expanded list of treatments such as peptide therapy and testosterone, preventative lab diagnostics, 30-60 minute appointment times, care across all 50 states, and the potential to participate in research to help shape the future of care for women — offering a more consistent standard of evidence-based care across menopause management, sexual health, hormone health, and related conditions. Joi + Blokes will also be adding access to expanded sexual health treatments to their offerings.

“HerMD built one of the most trusted and clinically rigorous organizations in women’s health,” said Katy Whalen, co-founder and COO of Joi + Blokes. “Their clinical leadership in areas that have historically been underserved — including menopause and sexual health — perfectly aligns with our mission to provide more in-depth clinician visits, better answers, and specialized care designed around women’s needs. This acquisition allows us to accelerate that work at a national scale.”

With more than 50,000 total patients treated across all 50 states, Joi has established one of the most scaled and trusted virtual women’s health platforms in the country. The company’s model centers around 1:1 visits with clinicians specialized in hormonal health challenges, personalized treatment pathways, and consistently high patient satisfaction. This approach has driven significant, measurable progress across menopause symptoms, hormonal balance, sexual health concerns, and overall quality of life — as 74% of patients reported sustained improvement from their programs, per a recent survey.

Integrating these proven outcomes with HerMD’s nationally recognized clinical leadership in menopause and sexual health creates a unified platform positioned to deliver evidence-based, empathetic care at unprecedented scale.

“We’re proud to join Joi + Blokes,” said Komel Caruso, CEO of HerMD. “From day one, our mission has been to raise the standard of care for women. Joi + Blokes’ national footprint and modern virtual-care model amplify that mission, expanding access to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Together, we’re creating a stronger path forward for the 85 million perimenopausal and menopausal women across the U.S. who still lack access to specialized care.”

Advancing a Shared Mission to Transform Women’s Health

For more than a decade, HerMD played a pivotal role in elevating public awareness around menopause and sexual health, advocating for better treatment protocols, and empowering women to understand their options. Physician-founded, their work helped catalyze a broader movement toward better-informed, better-supported women’s healthcare.

As part of the integration, HerMD will also lead a new patient education initiative within Joi + Blokes, bringing its trusted education-first approach to a larger national audience. This includes a forthcoming Joi x HerMD educational series designed to deepen patient understanding and support informed decision-making across key areas of women’s health.

“When I launched HerMD, the mission was never just to deliver care — it was to change the way women are treated in medical settings,” said Dr. Somi Javaid, HerMD Founder. “Seeing that mission carried forward at the national scale is incredibly meaningful.”

Driving Momentum in Women’s Health Innovation

The acquisition marks a defining moment in the future of women’s health and underscores Joi’s commitment to building a nationwide standard of high-quality, evidence-based care.
