NEWARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AchillesRepair—Aztron Medtech, a privately held orthopedic device company, today announced that its flagship product, the TendMIN™ Minimally Invasive Achilles Repair System, is now listed on the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), the Defense Logistics Agency’s Electronic Catalog (ECAT) and the GSA Advantage platform through its partnership with Lovell Government Services (LGS), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and authorized federal contracting partner. These listings allow federal health systems, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities, to purchase TendMIN™ directly through established government procurement channels.
“This marks a key milestone in expanding access to our minimally invasive Achilles tendon repair technology,” said Ben (Yi-Hsi) Huang, CEO of Aztron Medtech. “By making the TendMIN™ system available through federal procurement platforms, we are opening the door for institutions that serve active-duty service members, veterans, and their communities to access this next-generation surgical solution.”
The TendMIN™ design enables Achilles tendon repair through an incision of approximately one centimeter or less. This technology incorporates an ultrasound-guided minimally invasive technique that has been shown in peer-reviewed studies to reduce soft tissue disruption and infection risk compared to traditional open procedures. (Wang et al., 2012, Wang et al., 2024) The addition of FSS, ECAT and GSA availability underscores Aztron’s readiness to scale, its alignment with federal supply chain standards, and its commitment to bringing advanced surgical innovation to broader patient populations.
