LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Front Porch Communities and Services have announced the appointments of Jeff Sianko as Chief Operating Officer and George Akopyan as Chief Human Resources Officer, both effective immediately. Front Porch is one of the largest not-for-profit senior living providers in the nation, currently serves approximately 7,500 residents in 19 senior living and 32 affordable housing communities. Other programs and services connect more than 10,000 participants throughout the country.
Sianko joined Front Porch in 2004, was promoted to divisional vice president in 2008 and has been serving as interim COO since February. He brings to his position nearly three decades of progressive experience in managing senior living communities.
“During his tenure at Front Porch, Jeff has routinely worked at the community level to assist the leadership in providing insight and support on the day to day operations,” said Front Porch CEO John Woodward. “Most important, Jeff shares our overriding goal to provide our communities with high quality programs, care and services and to look for operational efficiencies wherever they make the most sense. He continues to demonstrate the leadership qualities, personal attributes and passionate commitment to our mission that makes it so appropriate that we remove the ‘interim’ and congratulate him for a promotion well-deserved.”
In assuming his new position as Chief Human Resources Officer, Akopyan is replacing Desiree Burton who is retiring after 21 years of service to the organization. Most recently Akopyan served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA where he led initiatives that resulted in the Medical Center being named by Modern Healthcare magazine as among the “Best Places to Work” for the past three years. Immediately prior to joining Holy Cross, he served as the Human Resources People Manager for Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
“George is a forward thinking, knowledgeable leader who prides himself in working collaboratively to achieve objectives,” said Woodward. “Our nearly 3,000 employees will benefit greatly from his leadership style and knowledge, and we know that George will play an important role in helping Front Porch remain an industry leader in compassionately and effectively caring for the needs of the people we serve.”
